Donnie Wahlberg on Casting Brother Mark: “He Doesn’t Want to Act with Me”
Donnie Wahlberg is keeping things light when it comes to the idea of working with his brother, Mark Wahlberg. While promoting Boston Blue, Donnie shared that he would love to have Mark make a guest appearance on the show—but admitted it may not be in the cards.
Speaking with a sense of humor, Donnie joked that his younger brother has little interest in sharing the screen with him. “He doesn’t want to act with me,” he said, laughing, making it clear there’s no real tension—just typical sibling teasing.
Despite the playful remark, Donnie hasn’t completely given up on the idea. He noted that having Mark on Boston Blue would be a fun moment for fans, especially given the brothers’ strong ties to Boston and their long careers in entertainment. Still, scheduling, interest, and the right role would all have to align.
For now, it seems the possibility remains more of a wish than a plan—but Donnie’s comments show that the door is always open, even if Mark needs a little convincing.
